What you’ll do
- Own the deploy pipeline and the runner that builds and serves customer apps, including free apps that sleep and wake
- Scale the walls before users hit them: address capacity, database throughput, container slots, one control database
- Build observability: logs for functions and apps, uptime alerts, health checks that tell the truth
- Keep costs measured and capped, and backups tested with restore drills
What you bring
- Real production experience running infrastructure: containers, CDNs or edge platforms, DNS, TLS
- Strong scripting and debugging; JavaScript/TypeScript or Go
- SQL and safe schema migrations on live data
- Calm incident habits: you find the cause, fix it, and write down what happened
- Bonus: edge runtimes, multi-tenant platforms, cost engineering
What we offer
- Competitive salary and early-team equity (discussed in the first conversation)
- Remote-first, async-friendly; quarterly in-person in NYC
- Your own platform to shape, with direct access to the founder
How we hire
- Apply on this site. Every application goes through the form on the role’s page, with the live link of something you deployed on Harakumo. Email and LinkedIn messages are not reviewed.
- Build it, from your own account. Create a free account, build a working app around your own idea (connect your AI to harakumo.com/mcp, or use the CLI or SDK), deploy it, and submit it signed in at /careers/next-step. We read what you built before résumés.
- One conversation. 45 minutes with the founder about what you built and what you would build here.
- A paid project, if useful. Optional: a scoped, paid one-week project on a real service. Then an offer.
The same steps, for every role, are on the careers page.
Apply for Platform / Infrastructure Engineer
Applications are reviewed only through this form. Required: your GitHub or portfolio, and the live link of something you built and deployed on Harakumo, like https://your-project.harakumo.app (sign up free and deploy it with the SDK, the CLI or your AI; even a 20-minute demo counts). A GitHub link is not accepted for this one.
